Electropolishing is an electrochemical metal finishing technique that removes surface imperfections and enhances the appearance of metals like stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium. It is used to polish, passivate, and deburr metal parts. It is often described as the reverse of electroplating. It may be used in abrasive fine polishing in microstructural preparation.
